The oral cavity is one of the most effective sites for smokeless drug uptake. Voon pouches are designed to be gentle on teeth and gums. Unlike some nicotine pouches that use high pH levels to enhance absorption, potentially harming enamel and irritating gums. Our formulation maintains a tooth-friendly pH of ~6–7

The Format

Cannabinoids are Lipophilic and NOT easily absorbed in the oral cavity. Voon uses Nanotechnology to alter the oily nature of cannabinoids into a Water Soluble Form. Nanoparticles allow passage across the buccal mucosal membranes and Direct Absorption into the blood stream. The pouch itself is used as the Drug Delivery Device - can be tailored for desired taste and sustained release of the active ingredient.

Controlling the Experience
Voon’s pouch technology (yellow curve) enables rapid uptake by delivering cannabinoids directly through the oral mucosa. This preserves the original cannabinoid composition, and delivers consistent and predictable effects, every time.

In contrast, edibles (orange curve) are absorbed through the digestive system and metabolized in the liver, where cannabinoids are chemically converted before entering the bloodstream — leading to slower onset and a less predictable effect.

    CEO

    With over 20 years of experience in the tobacco industry, he is the founder of Northerner, Snus.com, and Nicokick—now part of the Nasdaq-listed Haypp Group. He is a shareholder in Haypp Group, The Art Factory (developer of ZYN), a former shareholder in Gotlandssnus, and an investor and co-founder of VOON Innovation AB.

    With over 15 years of experience in the oral pouch category (tobacco, nicotine, CBD), he is the CEO and co-founder of SpectrumLeaf AB, operating across 17 European markets. He has previously served as Head of Brand Strategy & Portfolio at Swedish Match and Head of Smokeless Brands & Innovation for Scandinavia at Imperial Brands/Skruf Snus AB.     With over 15 years of R&D experience, he holds a PhD in Experimental Medical Science from Lund University’s Neuronano Research Centre and an MSc in Chemical Engineering. His expertise spans neuroscience, drug formulation, and nanoparticle technologies.
